Going Fishing

During our recent trip to New Orleans, the boys and I went fishing in Venice, LA.  We had a great trip with Captain Mike Dickinson of Phat Cat charters.  We left the city at around 5:15, and had lines in the water by about 8:30.  By 10:30, we were limited out, with an ice chest full of 25 nice redfish.  It was a truly memorable experience for the 4 of us, and I look forward to doing it again the next time we’re in New Orleans.

Captain Mike made short work of cleaning and filleting.

After the long trip home to Ponte Vedra, filets and ‘half-shell’ vacuum sealed and ready for the freezer.
