Final Garden Update

It’s been some time since I’ve posted a garden update. Our tomatoes are doing great- very productive. The cherry tomatoes are sweet and delicious, and the yellows are also wonderful. Our reds are a little small, but tasty nonetheless.

The zucchini and squash are wiped out again, a combination of inadequate water and powdery mildew. The herbs are largely doing well, although the cilantro was a short-lived experiment.

Changes for next year will include:

– better, more thorough and regular irrigation

– less plants (my tendency is to overplant)

– pre-emptive treatment for powdery mildew.
